A CUTE WAY TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY
Cuties® California Clementines, the popular fresh fruit choice, is back at McDonald’s® Restaurants of Hawaii for a limited time only as part of McDonald’s commitment to providing wholesome menu options to families.
A seasonal favorite, Cuties is a delicious cross between a mandarin and a sweet orange.
Customers can get their hands on this delectable side option now through May 9, or while supplies last, in McDonald’s lineup of Happy Meal® and Mighty Kids Meal® side choices that currently includes apple slices and Go-GURT® low-fat Strawberry Yogurt.
[We’re thrilled to provide delicious and wholesome options to Hawaii’s keiki,] said Melanie Okazaki, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii regional marketing manager.
[Cuties have been a great addition to our lineup and we remain committed to helping families with healthier alternatives.]
The return of Cuties illustrates McDonald’s ongoing dedication to champion children’s well-being by helping make nutrition-minded choices easy and fun for families.
It also supports McDonald’s USA’s partnership with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation on a Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) commitment to increase families’ access to fruit, vegetables and low-fat dairy.
Every Cutie provides an excellent source of vitamin C (35% of the recommended daily value) and equates to about one-quarter cup of fruit. They also can be purchased a la carte.
In addition, with every Happy Meal and Mighty Kids Meal purchase, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii will donate five cents to Ronald McDonald House Charities-Hawaii (RMHC-Hawaii).
Since the first Ronald McDonald House opened in Manoa in 1987, the House has provided a home-away-from-home for more than 22,000 seriously ill children and their families from the neighbor islands and the Pacific region while they were going through medical treatment in Honolulu.
Over the years, a second house in Manoa was opened to meet growing demand.
